User Guide

Welcome to Elefant! We don't provide legal advice, but we are here to help you find your way through the law.

1

Think of some keywords or questions related to your issue? No worries, what first comes to mind is absolutely alright. Keywords or questions are both good!

2

Enter them into your search bar, and click enter, or the search icon. Your search will start with an AI-enabled search if you're logged in. Otherwise, it will be a more conventional full-text search based on keywords - but don't worry, it's robust.

3

Take a quick look at whether the results are what you want.

4

If they are not, consider changing your keywords or question.

5

Consider whether you would like to change the type of search (AI-enabled or full-text), or which AI model you would like to use. You don't have to worry about this setting. We have picked the one we think is best for most users, striking a balance between speed and quality. If you're more technical, you would appreciate more choice. For now, we only provide the all-MiniLM-L6-v2. More coming soon.

6

Or, change the filters. Several filters are available to you. You can consider all search sources or none.

7

Or, you can pick which filters you want for each source. For example, you may only be interested in a particular year, or author.

8

Once you have found results, consider adding them to a Briefcase, where you can store all hits that are interesting to you.

9

Click on the Briefcase icon, and create a Briefcase icon.

10

Select the Briefcase.

11

Great! Now all results that are saved with the paper plane icon, will be saved to that Briefcase.

12

We have more lined up for your Briefcases! Stay tuned.
